Responding to the New Covenant

The book of Hebrews has demonstrated that Jesus Christ is the perfect and final High Priest whose once-for-all sacrifice has secured eternal redemption for His people. Having explained the superiority of Christ's priesthood and the blessings of the New Covenant, the author now turns from doctrine to application. Because believers have confidence to enter God's presence through Christ and a Great High Priest who intercedes for them, they are called to respond with faith, hope, and love—drawing near to God, holding fast to their confession, and encouraging one another as they await Christ's return (Hebrews 10:19–25).
